This Privacy Policy describes how Stem Music Academy ("we", "us", "our"), operating from 7, Saini Enclave, Karkardooma, Delhi — 110092, India, collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use stemmusicacademy.com, our online courses, the LaunchPath community, and our in-person DJ training programs (together, the "Services"). We handle personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Information we collect

• Account & enquiry details: name, email address, phone number, city, and preferred language — provided when you join the waitlist, submit an enquiry form, create a student account, or enrol in a course or membership.
• Learning & community activity: course progress, quiz scores, community posts, crates, poll votes, contest entries, mentor bookings, and XP/badge activity inside your student account.
• Payment information: payments are processed by our secure payment gateway partner. We receive transaction confirmations, order amounts and payment status. We do not collect or store your card numbers, CVV, UPI PIN or banking passwords.
• Technical data: IP address, browser/device information, and basic usage logs collected for security and to keep the Services working.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your student account and deliver the courses, memberships and mentor sessions you purchase.
• To process payments, issue invoices/receipts and maintain transaction records.
• To respond to enquiries and provide student support over email, phone or WhatsApp.
• To send service messages (login links, payment confirmations, schedule changes) and — only with your consent — marketing updates about new courses, batches and community features. You can opt out at any time.
• To maintain safety in the community (moderation, fraud and abuse prevention) and comply with law.

3. Sharing of information

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Services, strictly for the purposes above:

• Payment gateway — secure payment processing (their handling of your payment data is governed by their own privacy policy).
• Messaging & email providers — WhatsApp Business (Meta) and our email service, to deliver the communications described above.
• Hosting & technology partners — servers and software infrastructure on which the platform runs.
• Authorities — where required by law, court order or government direction.

We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember form progress, and measure basic site performance. We do not use these for third-party advertising profiles. You can clear or block them in your browser, though some features (like staying logged in) may stop working.

We retain account and learning data for as long as your account is active, and transaction records for the period required under Indian tax and accounting law. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data except where retention is legally required.
